Agriculture, with its allied sectors, is the largest source of livelihood in India. 54.6% of the total workforce is engaged in agricultural and allied sector activities while 57.8% of rural households are engaged in agriculture.

FAIFA works with small and marginal farmers and indigenous communities in the rural areas of the country. FAIFA empowers the rural farming communities in capacity building, organization, self-reliance and poverty reduction.
IYC-2025
The United Nations General Assembly has officially declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC2025), celebrated under the theme “Cooperatives Build a Better World.” Cooperatives play a vital role in transforming the agricultural sector in India by addressing the needs of small and marginal farmers.
